Debate on future of local hospitals – September 26

Thursday, September 20th, 2012

There is a public debate about the future of north west London hospitals taking place at the Victoria Hall, Ealing Town Hall from 7-9pm on 26 September.

Speaking at the meeting will be Dr Mark Spencer, director of north west London NHS and Dr Mohini Parmar, chair of Ealing CCG. Dr Spencer and Dr Parmar favour the changes to health care that include closing A&E Departments, removing maternity, intensive care and children’s services at Ealing, Charing Cross, Central Middlesex and Hammersmith Hospitals. They claim this would lead to the highest quality health care.

Opposing them are John Lister, health campaigner and journalist, and Dr Onkar Sahota, GLA Member for Ealing & Hillingdon.

The debate will be chaired by Victoria Macdonald, Health Correspondent for Channel 4 News.
